What is "Behind The Design?": 
Sometimes, you see a really cool set of nails on social media and want to recreate it but don’t know where to start. You may wonder, “What base color did they use? I wonder if they mentioned it in the caption? What shade of pink is that????”
 
This is where “Behind the Design” comes in.
 
For most of my sets, I keep a *messy* journal about the polish colors and nail art products I used, my sketch that I referenced during the set and the inspiration photos and design requests from the client. I also reflect on what I did well and areas where I see room for improvement.
 
I wanted to find a way to help other nail artists get past the overwhelming “where do I start?” questions.
 
To do so, I’m putting all my notes in a more aesthetically pleasing journal for anyone to access!

Please note, this is not a step-by-step guide on how to recreate a set. Instead, it’s a collection of personal notes I use to grow as a nail artist and guide me if I ever want to recreate a similar design.
 
Some sets will include detailed notes, while others may only feature a list of the products and colors I used.
